In order to effectively assess progress toward reaching programming outcome goals, nonprofits need to be able to measure the impact their programs have on the clients they serve. But it is  challenging to align the surveys we administer with the specific outcomes we hope to achieve. What we all need is the know-how to create easy-to-use, effective assessment tools.

Join CNE and community research and evaluation expert, Maryfrances Porter, Ph.D., president and founder of Partnerships for Strategic Impact, to take a deep, individualized dive into modifying your current surveys. You will leave this six-part group consultative experience with the surveys you need to assess program impact, and to communicate your successes to your board, funders and other stakeholders.

The series will cover the basics of logic modeling, link your surveys with your organizational goals, and will give your hands-on experience analyzing and graphing survey data using Excel.  Two of the six sessions will be work-sessions specifically designed to provide you with one-one-one consultation with Maryfrances, as well as the opportunity to test your new-and-improved surveys with others, so that you leave with a fine-tuned, ready-to-use surveys.  Each session will be three hours (Session #3 will be four hours) and will occur two weeks apart, over the course of 12 weeks.  For an extra fee, you can join Maryfrances to participate in an optional, group consultation session between sessions 3 & 4.

Executive directors, program directors, as well as program managers are encouraged to attend.

Participation is limited to CNE member organizations that currently use survey tools to assess program impact; these surveys will be what are worked on over the course of the sessions. The cost of training is $400 for one staff member or $600 for two members from your organization. For greatest impact, we highly recommend participation from 2 individuals at your organization, if possible.
