Workshops

The UVA Law Nonprofit Clinic pairs local nonprofit organizations with current UVA law students. Through the Clinic, nonprofit clients receive a “legal health checkup” and legal guidance on issues such as risk management, corporate governance, fundraising, and compliance with local, state and federal laws. Students work with nonprofit organizations in all stages of existence from start-up to well-established organizations. For example, in the 2017 clinic, students examined and drafted articles, bylaws, and policies. This session will be an opportunity for organizations who have already applied to learn about next steps, and will also be a chance for organizations who have not applied to learn more and apply if interested.
