Social Media Planning, Management & Measurement

We all know the buzz: utilizing social media equips organizations with the ability to easily and quickly engage with their online audiences. However, it takes more than a quick post or tweet to motivate viewers to support your cause. Join CNE and Sarah Milston, founder of The Spark Mill, LLC, to gain valuable information about emerging social media trends, as well as best practices for developing a social media strategy, managing its implementation, and measuring its success for your organization.

Participants will gain insight into these four major focus areas:

  • Emerging Trends and Tools – learn the latest news and laws surrounding social media, as well as information about the best new apps and tools and evaluate options for potential use in your organization.
  • Strategic Use of Social Media – analyze findings from current market research to determine how to make content appealing, and how to time your posts for the greatest impact.
  • Content Management – learn how to act as the curator for your online content, and leverage experience from peers in solving social media problems within their organizations.
  • Measuring for Impact – dive into measurement techniques using information from Beth Kanter’s Measuring the Networked Nonprofit

Ample time will be provided to work in groups between topic sessions to solidify understanding of the content and gain hands-on practice. At the end of this full-day training, participants will walk away with a comprehensive understanding of best practices in social media strategy and implementation to apply back at their organizations.

Executive Directors, and Program, Development, and Communications staff are encouraged to attend.

**Please note: this training is designed for those who have basic knowledge of social media, including the popular tools that are available, but who are looking to increase their engagement with their audience.**
