The Syringe Access Fund, a program of AIDS United, is offering grants of up to $5,000 over a six month period in support of startup programs offering sterile syringe supplies and emerging policy initiatives. Programs that include drug users in the design, delivery, and evaluation of services as well as programs that are peer- and volunteer-run will receive priority consideration. Strategic partnerships are encouraged. Eligibility is limited to community-based organizations, AIDS service organizations, faith based groups, human rights groups, clinical or medical providers, and legal aid organizations. Applicants must be tax exempt under section 501(c)(3).
