Susan G. Komen Virginia Blue Ridge is seeking innovative and impactful grant applications for breast health programs in our 42 city and county service area. In our mission to end breast cancer forever, we fund programs that address our community need through screenings, diagnostics, treatments, and reducing barriers to care.
Non-profit organizations that serve women in the following cities and counties are eligible to apply: Alleghany, Amherst, Bath, Bedford, Bland, Botetourt, Bristol, Buchanan, Buena Vista, Campbell, Carroll, Covington, Craig, Danville, Dickenson, Floyd, Franklin, Galax, Giles, Grayson, Henry, Lee, Lexington, Lynchburg, Martinsville, Montgomery, Norton, Patrick, Pittsylvania, Pulaski, Radford, Roanoke, Roanoke City, Rockbridge, Russell, Salem, Scott, Smyth, Tazewell, Washington, Wise and Wythe.
The Request for Applications (RFA) will become public on October 3. However, the Funding Priorities for 2018-19 can be viewed here until the full RFA is released.
In order to be eligible for funding, new applicant organizations and organizations with new project directors/project writers are REQUIRED to attend one of the Affiliate’s grantwriting workshops. Returning organizations and returning project directors/project writers can elect to attend the workshops or register for one of the webinars, but they are REQUIRED to attend at least one.
