The Gretchen Swanson Center for Nutrition is accepting applications for it’s inaugural grant program.  The program will award five grants of up to $20,000 each over fifteen months.  The grant program has been designed to provide food banks and their partners with opportunities to enhance measurement and evaluation activities related to their services. The program also will provide funding in support of innovative programming with the potential to improve the health and dietary quality of emergency food recipients. Approaches can include existing or new programming that encompasses various settings and sites, components or levels of the emergency food system, and target populations.

Nonprofit food bank organizations with tax exempt status under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code are eligible to apply. Food pantries are encouraged to collaborate with other organization, but the primary applicant must be a food bank organization.
