By combining project-based learning curriculum with a school garden space, students learn conservation-mindedness. To support this mission, the Nature Conservancy is awarding grants to support projects to build, amend, or revitalize school gardens. Grants of $2,000 will be awarded to 60 public or charter schools across the nation, to help young people to work as social innovators to help their communities through ecological project design and implementation.
