Through the Furthermore grant program, the J.M. Kaplan Fund supports publication of nonfiction books concerning the arts, history, and the natural and built environment. Grants ranging from $1,500 to a maximum of $15,000 are available twice a year for publication projects on art, architecture, and design; cultural history, the city, and related public issues; and conservation and preservation. Furthermore seeks projects that appeal to an informed general audience and promises a reasonable shelf life.
