The National Endowment for the Arts’ Big Read program aims to broaden our understanding of our world, our communities, and ourselves through the joy of sharing a good book. To this end, the Big Read is accepting grant applications from nonprofit organizations seeking to inspire and empower their communities to read. Grants of up to $15,000 will be available for community-wide reading programs to be implemented through summer 2019.
