VOCAL’s Nominating Committee is seeking applications from qualified applicants for vacant Director positions. You can view VOCAL’s Board Officer and Member Job Description here; please read this document before applying to serve on VOCAL’s Board. The Board of Director application is available here. Applications are due by 4/25/2021 at 5pm.
Applicants need to be individuals with lived experience of mental health or co-occurring challenges, but they need not have an official diagnosis nor be a Peer Recovery Specialist. VOCAL is especially interested in prospective Board members with experience in finance, human resources, fundraising, marketing, or communications.
Please be aware there is high interest in these positions and submission of an application does not guarantee a position.
Annual Time Commitment (including committee meetings, special events, work outside the board, etc.)
Board meetings – 12 hours
Strategic planning retreat – 2 days
Committee meetings – 12-24 hours, depending upon desired committee participation
