Justin Reid

Justin Reid is a cultural heritage and social impact professional who’s passionate about culturally sustainable community development, digital and public humanities, and place-based learning. He is currently a Senior Program Manager at the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation and he previously worked as the Director of Community Initiatives at Virginia Humanities, for the Moton Museum in his hometown, Farmville, Virginia, and oversaw the 2013 opening of Moton’s national award-winning, permanent exhibition on civil rights history. He’s a co-founder of William & Mary’s Lemon Project on race, public history and memory, and serves as a Governor-appointed board member of the Virginia Tourism Corporation.
