NEW Resource: Collaboration Roadmap

October 12, 2017

Last week, CNE board member Dan Layman, President and CEO of the Community Foundation of the Central Blue Ridge, encouraged us not to forget to invite donors to the collaboration table as both funding and strategy partners. This week, we’re excited to announce two new tools and programs, developed in partnership with others, to help you build your collaboration table…

Collaboration Roadmap
We’re thrilled to roll-out our newest and most comprehensive CoLab resource: Co-authored with Partnerships for Strategic Impact, Action to Impact: A Coalition Building Roadmap offers information for coalitions at all stages of development – from feasibility, to launch, to community action, to impact. It includes how-to information, hand-selected articles for a deep dive into the topics presented, and templates that you can take and adapt to your own coalition. But here’s the best part: it’s grounded in local lessons learned from coalitions across our community. We’ve created lots of ways to dive in and out depending on where you are in your own coalition work and what’s most important to you right now.

So check it out, pass it on and consider it your own personal collaboration handbook. Watch out for Roadmap info sessions coming soon to help orient you to the Roadmap and how best to use it.

Power of Partnership (POP) Talks
The Power of Partnership (POP) Talks series tackles challenges faced by teams, partnerships, and coalitions. Led by CNE’s Senior Consultant, Mary Davis Hamlin, the innovative format features 45 minutes of content presentation then opens the remaining 45 minutes for peer-to-peer dialogue, learning, and problem-solving. This unique format allows for participants from across the community to contribute to the discussion and learn from one another’s experiences.
Come share your challenges and work towards solutions for harnessing the power of healthy partnerships during either of our two upcoming sessions:

Addressing Power Imbalances (October 24, 9:00-10:30am)

Wise and Inclusive Decision-Making (November 28, 9:00-10:30am)

Now more than ever, we want you and your coalition to thrive in tackling important community challenges that no one organization can or should solve alone. Questions? Contact Mary Davis Hamlin, Senior Consultant, CoLab @ CNE.
