Fundraising Ramps Up as Summer Wraps Up

August 18, 2016

Isn’t August just so bitter sweet? We gaze up at the Perseid meteor showers, take one last day-trip to the beach, send kids to school with fresh back-packs, and return to fundraising as colleagues return from vacations. Trying to stay cool in the heat, calm in the face of the storm, we are already contemplating the season of giving. It is a time of possibility.

As our event calendars begin to fill up, it’s time to send notes to donors and prospects we haven’t been in contact with all summer. CNE offers a valuable launching point as you re-energize your campaigns. Sign up today for the The Annual Fund workshop, led by seasoned grant writer, Laurie Jarrett Rogers.

One of the best classes I’ve taken at CNE. Coming away with an actual plan is invaluable. Laurie Jarrett Rogers is so dynamic, knowledgeable—using real life examples and providing wonderful resources.  – Leigh Trippe, Meals on Wheels

In this popular program you will gain more insight into:

  • Why the annual fund is the foundation of all fundraising
  • How to prepare for this year by evaluating last year’s campaign
  • Creative approaches to the annual fund
  • Engagement of board members and volunteers in fundraising

Lay under the stars, jump in the water, give your child a hug as she steps on the bus. As summer wraps up it’s time to get in touch with old friends, dive into a fresh season, and continue learning how to better your nonprofit work and reach your fundraising goals.
